The show revolves around likeable characters such as Saitama, a man with superhuman abilities who became bored with his strength and has lost all interest in being a hero. To regain his interest as a hero and challenge himself with weaker opponents, Saitama joins the Hero Association to fight monsters that threaten the earth.
There are many similarities between One Punch Man and My Hero Academia, but that doesn’t mean the One Punch Man is the “poor man’s version.” Both focus on an inexperienced hero trying to find his footing against formidable foes or being a hero. In One Punch Man, our hero Saitama is bored with being so overpowered.
In My Hero Academia, Midoriya wants to be the number hero and be like All Might. They both go through a bit of a slump at one point in their lives, such as Midoriya learning how to use the “One For All” or Saitama trying to find a worthy opponent or show to everyone that he is a hero.

If you’re a fan of the two manga and shonen anime, Black Clover and My Hero Academia, then you’ll find that they have many similarities! From the settings to rivalries with other protagonists such as Asta and Yuno or Midoriya and Bakugo, these two series are similar in many ways.

One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gains the properties of rubber after inadvertently eating a Devil Fruit, as he travels the world in search of the ultimate treasure known as “One Piece.”
There are many similarities between One Piece and My Hero Academia, making it difficult to choose one over the other. Both Shonen anime focus on protagonists in their respective worlds who have life-changing events before becoming heroes or pirates.
Their journeys involve training under others, notable mentors ( All Might and Rayleigh ) with a special ability that they wish to harness. The two anime also share significant aspects of the plot, including amazing character growth, intense battles, dramatic rise and fall stories, and comedic relief amid all the drama.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is one of our favorite anime series, based on a manga of the same name. The series was first aired on January 7, 2018. In the story, we follow Tanjiro Kamado, who wants to avenge his family’s death from a demon named Muzan and turn his sister Nezuko back to being a human.

Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 1990 to July 1994. The story follows delinquent junior high school student Yusuke Urameshi, who dies in a car accident on his way home.
He is then resurrected as a Spirit Detective. He is joined by his friend Kazuma Kuwabara and their demon buddy Kurama in the dark dealings of spirits, demons, and humans alike.
It seems pretty clear that Yu Yu Hakusho has influenced My Hero Academia, especially when you look at how much Midoriya’s character and backstory compare to Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho. I also think that My Hero Academia is influenced by Yu Yu Hakusho in the sense that Midoriya’s character and design are similar to Yusuke Urameshi and the fact that both series have a lot of similarities regarding their plot, superpowers, and main likable characters.

Both Assassination Classroom and My Hero Academia are shounen anime series. Shounen, as the term implies, is targeted at boys. Their similarities can be seen through their amazing characters. Both series are in a world where people have superpowers/ magical abilities/magic. In Fairy Tail, there are guilds that people go to train their skills and get new superpowers.

Characters in these series face issues that are realistic yet likable with a strong sense of justice. Furthermore, both heroes go through different struggles but have an inner strength that pushes them to help others. In both series, the main protagonist starts out as an ordinary person who becomes a hero figure by acquiring magnificent powers or supernatural abilities from their mentor.
History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi
Many anime and manga series involve martial arts, with the best known being Dragon Ball. However, “History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi” is a little different: it is about an average high school boy who trains in the ways and discipline of karate after being beaten up by some bullies.
The story follows a boy named Kenichi, then comes under the tutelage of an old man named Ryōzanpaku master. He doesn’t hesitate to take Kenichi into his dojo (the Ryōzanpaku martial arts school) even though his martial arts abilities are pathetic.
Both of the manga series have a protagonist who faces low self-esteem personalities. They both make friends during their adventures and grow as people. Both series are about someone who begins the story with something to prove but eventually overcomes all of the challenges and becomes a hero. They both have a protagonist who is considered a “weakling” at first but gradually grows stronger to overcome stronger opponents. Both of the shows feature lots of action scenes and likable characters.
