It’s a common trend nowadays to see people searching for anime similar in content or theme. The most popular genre of action-adventure animation is, without any doubt, the show Nanatsu no Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins). It has conquered many anime fans, and only by seeing it one can understand why.
The land of Britannia is similar to the Middle Ages in Europe. The Holy Knights, feared and respected at once, are endowed with immense power to protect their homeland from danger. But a group of these legendary knights betrayed both themselves and their fellow soldiers by turning on them during an attempted coup d’etat against Liones’s ruler after being defeated twice before. Rumors persist that some among this elite rank have survived-called “The Seven Deadly Sins.” Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d’état and became tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.
In the Kingdom of Liones, a prophecy says when all seven sins are gathered together, they will bring about disaster. So when the Holy Knights come to take over Elizabeth’s Kingdom and execute her father for treason, she sets out on an adventure with these Seven Deadly Sins to find justice in this unjust world.
If you’re a fan of The Seven Deadly Sins, then this list is for you. In the show, we see action and comedy mixed with some pure adventure that leaves viewers on their toes at all times! But what else can anime like it offer? Sometimes friendships are tested by rivalry, while hints of romance are never too far behind. 12. Black Clover
Black Clover is a fantasy anime series where the protagonist, Asta, has an insatiable drive to become Wizard King. This series starts out with him as an orphan who was put into slavery at birth for his powers of not using magic! But this gives him an incentive, and he never backs down from anything in life since nothing can stop someone without limits on what they are capable of achieving.
In Black Clover, there’s plenty more going on than just fighting wizards because that would get boring really quick. For example, while most people have magical abilities, Asta does not; however, it doesn’t matter because when you’re born powerless, then your potential power explodes like dynamite once unleashed.
11. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
Grand adventure and amazing battles are a staple of any anime show. Still, The Seven Deadly Sins certainly took this to heart. So consider looking into Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic for your next binge session. The story has plenty of obstacles alongside its magical theme and fantasy setting, including everything from wartime negotiation to literal towers called “Dungeons.” A strange boy named Aladdin teams up with a young man named Alibaba to work their way through these dungeons while attempting to defeat them altogether; something that is no easy feat considering what’s at stake–their lives!
The world-building in The Seven Deadly Sins leaves readers curious about how different groups of people work together as a society. Similarly, Overlord follows the story of a gamer, Momonga, stranded in his favorite fantasy, where he realizes that he can no longer log out. So, with his amazing powers, he decides to rule his guild as a demon lord while searching for other players like him.
9. Hunter x Hunter (2011)
What’s better than one show with superb adventure elements? Two shows, of course! Suppose you’re a fan of fighting scenes, adventure, and cheerful leads. In that case, Hunter x Hunter is the perfect addition to your watching repertoire. This action anime follows Gon on his journey towards becoming an official hunter searching for his missing father. Hunters are typically seen as heroes with great strength and special powers, but it also takes skill; however, few people who take up this profession ever make it that far because taking the exam has such high stakes.
8. One Piece
If you’re a fan of The Seven Deadly Sins, then One Piece is your next choice. Both have huge fight scenes and an overpowered protagonist with everlasting optimism! But take note that both series focus on different struggles as well – Luffy just wants freedom to become King of the Pirates while Meliodas’ wants revenge against those who ended his life long ago.
7. Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn)
Princess Yona is a female protagonist who gets thrown out of her own Kingdom. After having the most luxurious and comfortable upbringing, she now has to survive in brutal battles with nothing but her willpower as armor. Despite being pampered all this time, Princess Yona shows great determination when overthrowing the new king until he finally succumbs to his greediness for more land from other kingdoms.
Princess Yona’s character is very similar to Elizabeth from The Seven Deadly Sins. Both women are thrown in the middle of a battlefield and must look out for themselves. Still, while Hak enters Yona’s life as her savior, Meliodas comes into Elizabeth’s just when she needs him most. They both show immense mental strength despite all odds against them; it feels almost like watching the same anime with different characters and settings.
6. Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers
We all love the medieval fantasy element that The Seven Deadly Sins brings to anime, and Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers has a very similar effect. Both take place in magically driven lands with heroes chosen by fate at the end of their respective arcs. In Roakha, it is said that when absolute evil seeks to destroy your world, six brave souls will be selected as protectors from those dangers you can’t escape on your own- Adlet Mayer being one such warrior determined for fame and glory among his peers!
5. Blood Lad
The Seven Deadly Sins and Blood Lad are two great series with something in common: they’re worth giving a shot! The main difference between the two is their initial plot. In Blood Lad, Staz stumbles across Fuyumi, who finds herself lost in his world after being kidnapped; he must now take her home to Earth where it is safe for humans. But, as you’ll see with both of these fantastic fantasy adventures, there’s plenty of adventure, action, and romance along the way!
4. Chaika: The Coffin Princess
Wars that include prominent heroes with the power to save the day is what The Seven Deadly Sins is sort of all about. Chaika – The Coffin Princess, a series in which our protagonist and his company search for their next job after they find out war has left them without direction or purpose. However, when he runs into a white-haired young woman carrying around her father’s coffin named Chaika, who takes him under her wing as an assistant on this journey to give him peace at last; Tooru must reconsider whether following behind someone else might be something worth doing again–especially if it means getting back some semblance of hope and meaning from life!
The world’s strongest man, Alden, is accompanied by Nashetania as they embark on a journey to destroy the Demon Lord. They are joined by six chosen Braves of Six Flowers when suddenly one day their peace was disrupted with seventh member barging in and causing friction between all members of a group who now must find out whether this black sheep before the team comes crumbling down.
3. Akame ga Kill (2014)
Akame ga Kill is about a group of assassins who set out to unravel their prime minister’s true intentions. When they find him, he seems determined to completely destroy his own town. Tatsumi goes through an intense transformation after challenging himself and challenging this previously held belief that everything should be done for the betterment of society. Intense battles in diverse environments are common occurrences as Akame and Night Raid do anything possible to save their world from destruction by its very creator.
Akame ga Kill is an amazing adventure anime that brings in all sorts of diverse main characters determined to protect their city from evil and corrupt rulers, just like The Seven Deadly Sins. Initially, there were several clashes between the personalities, but eventually, they got along as well as learned how to work more cohesively with one another; both series feature antagonists who have been corrupted by a power that makes it easy for them not to care about others’ lives or feelings (in this case because those people would be at risk).

Trinity Seven has a lighter tone and a very good sense of humor. Arata is a bit of an oddball. He’s really perverted and will hit on anyone at the drop of a hat, but he does so with such determination that you can’t help but admire him. For example, when his friend Camus was beaten up by some baddies for no reason, Arata steps in right away and saves her without hesitation.
1. Soul Eater (2008)
‘Soul Eater,’ an acclaimed shounen anime from the late 2000s that has since become a cult classic, tells the story of Evans, who sets out on his journey to collect souls. Soul Eater is similar to The Seven Deadly Sins. They both rely on a motley crew of powerful characters battling the forces of evil.
