The dead begin to rise and throw all of Japan into total chaos.
As these Zombies begin terrorizing Takashi Kimuro‘s high school, he is forced to take the life of his best friend after he gets bitten and joins the ranks of the walking dead.
Vowing to protect the girlfriend of the man whose life he just took: Rei Miyamoto, they narrowly escape their death trap of a school, only to find a society that has already fallen.
The zombies have returned, and it’s up to Takashi and his friends Saeko Busujima, Kouta Hirano, Saya Takagi, Shizuka Marikawa – and several other students who they meet along the way to take them down.
Unfortunately, what starts small becomes an all-encompassing apocalypse that threatens not only their school but also Japan itself with these exanimate creatures roaming everywhere.
Will our heroes be able to do enough for those still alive?
This anime features lots of fan service, heart-pounding action scenes, and is sure to get you hooked.

2. So, I Can’t Play H!
Ryosuke Kaga was never one to turn down a good offer.
Still, he soon learned that his witless decision could cause irreparable damage.
Lisara Restole appeared in the form of an innocent-looking goddess with great beauty and power.
However, she is actually a Shinigami–a goddess of death who has come for Ryosuke’s essence because it will allow her to stay longer on Earth.
But instead of draining years off his life as any decent Shinigami would do, she sucks him dry by leeching off all desire for pleasurable activities.
She does this by sucking out what made Ryosuke so attractive: lustfulness and promiscuity.
Now that he has been clean and pure, the degenerate is no longer debased or depraved.
Therefore, the only way for him to regain his licentiousness is by following the goddess of death on her quest!
However, this reprobation may not last long because goddesses of death are harsh mistresses with a difficult task ahead.
Going back to being sleazy will require anything but an easy feat!
So, I Can’t Play H! is an anime that you won’t be able to get enough of.
This complete package will hook viewers from beginning to end with its great storyline with, captivating story, and beautiful art style.
3. Date A Live
A celestial disaster has been plaguing the world intermittently, sparing nothing in its wake.
Thirty years ago, one such event occurred when a supermassive “spatial quake” took the lives of over 150 million people on the Eurasian Continent alone and caused disasters for all nations that experienced this phenomenon.
Shidou’s life changed drastically after an impending spatial quake threatened the safety of Tengu City.
His first instinct was to save his younger sister, but he gets caught in the eruption and discovers a strange girl at its source who is revealed to be a “Spirit.”
The Spirit then starts fighting with members of the Anti-Spirit Team because they want her dead for some unknown reason.
In this story, a third party called “Ratatoskr” tries to save the Spirits.
Ratatoskr’s commander happens to be Shidou’s little sister Kotori!
She recruits him after he clashes with them and presents an alternative method for dealing with their danger: make them fall in love with you.
The world’s fate now rests on his dating prowess as he seeks out Spirits so they can all fall madly in love together (and hopefully live happily ever after).
4. To LOVE-Ru
Timid 16-year-old Rito Yuuki has yet to profess his love to Haruna Sairenji—a classmate and object of his infatuation since junior high.
Sadly, the situation becomes even more challenging when a mysterious girl crashes right on top of him one night as he bathes.
Rito discovers that Lala Satalin Deviluke is a crown princess and has run away from her home.
Yet, despite being an heiress to an alien empire, she’s surprisingly more than willing to marry him to avoid an unwanted political marriage.
The story of To LOVE-Ru is about a high school student, Rito, who has to deal with the chaos that arises when Lala arrives and starts drooling all over him.
His life becomes even more complicated as he tries to confess his love for Haruna.
5. Haganai: I don’t have many friends
Kodaka is a transfer student, and it’s his first day of school.
He walks around the halls, searching for someone to talk with—until he gets labeled as an “intimidating delinquent” due to his blonde hair and scowling face.
Kodaka feels alone at this new high school until one fateful morning when he finds Yozora Mikazuki talking in her empty classroom.
She had also been teased because they were both seen as outsiders by their classmates who called them delinquents or weirdos.
Kodaka and Yozora overcame their lonely high school lives by starting the Neighbor’s Club.
They created a club for people who don’t have friends to help them make more connections with others.
Joined by Sena Kashiwazaki, an eroge-loving girl and other outcasts, they created this clud hoping it would allow them to find new friendships

6. Sekirei
A struggling yet brilliant teenager Minato Sahashi has failed his college entrance exams for the second time.
This has resulted in him being regarded as worthless by those around him.
However, he catches a break when an intriguing woman falls into his life and offers hope where there was none before.
That woman, Musubi, is a Sekirei, a humanoid extraterrestrial with extraordinary abilities that are awakened through contact with Ashikabi gene carriers like himself.
Minato’s life is forever changed when Musubi kisses him, initiating a bond between the two of them and dragging Minato into a world he never knew existed.
The Sekirei Plan is an intense battle for survival where contestants must fight against each other to win their freedom.
Still, unbeknownst to them, there is far more at stake than just winning this game.
This anime slowly builds up to a many female characters with a special power.
7. Campione!
Some people suddenly find religion, but for 16-year-old Kusanagi Godou, it’s that REALLY old-time religion that has found him!
As the result of defeating the God of War in mortal combat, he is stuck with an unwanted position as Campione!, or “God Slayer.”
His duty is to fight heretical gods whenever they try to muscle into his territory.
Not only will this likely make him roadkill on the Highway To Heaven, but it’s also a job that comes with many other problems.
For instance, he must learn how to deal with having all these overly worshipful female followers approach him due to his enhanced status.
After all, they’re just there to aid him in his demi-godly duties, right?
So why does their leader, the demonically manipulative sword-mistress Erica Blandelli, seem to have such a devilish interest in encouraging some VERY unorthodox activities?
Get ready for immortal affairs and lots of dueling deities taking pious faces as the ultimate smash bash and thrash of Titans rocks both heaven and earth.
8. Mayo Chiki!
Due to his mother’s and sister’s love of professional wrestling, Kinjirou Sakamachi has developed a resilient body that could take hard punches, aggressive kicks, and even deadly vehicle bumps.
But unfortunately, he also has gynophobia–an abnormal fear of women.
One touch from a girl can make him panic with nosebleeds or faint abruptly in rare cases!
Kinjirou’s life takes a turn for the worse when he meets Subaru Konoe in the restroom.
The most popular student in their school and butler to Kanade Suzutsuki, Kinjiro, is surprised that she’s female!
But soon enough, his surprise turns into terror as Subaru goes on the offense towards him with such force it leaves Kinjirou unconscious.
When he wakes up, he meets Kanade right away, who promises her help in curing his phobia if they keep this meeting between them.
9. Rosario + Vampire
Youkai Academy is a monster boarding school where they learn to coexist with humans.
All students attend in human form and take normal academic subjects such as literature, gym, foreign languages, or mathematics.
The one thing that isn’t normal is this school’s golden rule: all humans found on the premises must be killed immediately!
This story is about an average teenager who can’t get into any high school because of his bad grades.
However, his parents unintentionally enroll him in Youkai Academy as a last-ditch effort to secure some form of education for their son.
Unfortunately, they don’t realize that the world Tsukune has entered isn’t just one of danger but also horror and despair.
The boy runs into Moka Akashiya on campus during orientation day.
By chance or fate, he decides to stay in this dangerous realm simply because he’s interested in her.
Soon enough, this decision reveals itself as dangerous and horrifying when he discovers she’s a vampire!

10. Freezing
Humanity is under siege by an alien race known as the Novas.
These inhuman beings leave devastation in their wake.
And it’s up to young women called Pandoras and Limiters to give humanity a fighting chance against these invaders.
These Pandoras and Limiters have implanted stigmata that give them superhuman powers.
Meanwhile, Kazuya is about to start his first day of school at the West Genetics military academy.
As he walks through the halls towards homeroom, he runs into a battle between Pandoras.
He mistakes Satellizer el Bridget—a powerful Pandora known as “The Untouchable Queen”—as his deceased sister.
Then he embraces her during this momentary lapse in fighting costing her a match with one of their opponents.
She finds that Kazuya’s touch doesn’t drive her away, so she decides to make him her Limiter instead.
The question is whether or not their partnership can survive the machinations of upperclassmen and the impending battle with Novas.
Satellizer El Bridget is just one of the female characters oozing with appeal in Freezing!
This anime is sure to deliver a great story filled with the unexpected!
11. Demon King Daimao
Akuto Sai is living his dream of changing the world for good.
He transfers to Constant Magic Academy, a magic school where he befriends a virtuous ninja clan member, Junko Hattori.
On their way to school, they vow to make this world better together.
However, upon his arrival at the academy, it becomes clear that something has gone wrong.
He has been prophecies to become Demon King!
It seemed as if every action he took only fueled the idea that Akuto was doomed to be a demon king.
He could not let his fate control him, but it felt like everything he did and said reinforced this notion in some way or another.
At school, people began to fear him for what was predicted as his future.
Even Junko’s trust faltered when she realized her passion might have been misplaced all along.
Junko’s trust becomes even more precarious when he is surrounded by several beautiful girls who each have their own plans for this him.
With his newly awakened powers, Akuto must cope with his constantly growing list of misfortunes and fight to prove that his fate is not set in stone.
This is another series with supernatural themes.
Demon King Daimao is an anime with action, a nice plot, beautiful girls, and plenty more that could make it a permanent fixture in any anime fan’s collection.
12. Trinity Seven
One day, the bright red sun stopped shining.
This caused something called the “Breakdown Phenomenon,” where Arata’s town and people disappeared completely.
All is not lost yet, though.
By using his cousin Hijiri Kasuga’s magical grimoire, Arata creates an artificial world.
Lilith Asami appears before Arata, whose artificial world suddenly disintegrates.
He is given two choices: hand over the book or die!
However, Arata chooses to enroll in Royal Biblia Academy where six other magical users await him.
Together, they form Trinity Seven, the elite of this top-secret school.
To save Hijiri and with the help of his newfound friends, Arata stops at nothing to prevent the destruction of his beloved hometown and to bring his best friend back.
Here we have another anime series with cool fight scenes and cute girls surrounding our main protagonist.
13. Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls
The great land of Japan is full of natural beauty and prosperous people, but it also faces a looming threat.
Mysterious guardians known as Master Samurai are the only defense that can stop this danger from spreading into their country.
Meanwhile, Muneakira Yagyuu arrives at Buou Academic School at the behest of his student council.
Run by the Tokugawa Shogunate and led by Yoshihiko Tokugawa himself, this school educates children of warriors to prepare them for their future roles as leaders under Shogun rule.
Among these pupils is Muneakira’s childhood friend Sen.
During the chaos of arriving at his new school, Muneakira feels pulled into a terrible fight.
The sky fills with white light, and there is suddenly this girl named Juubei Yagyuu who kisses him before everything goes back to normal.
Now he has some sort of mysterious power protecting them from harm.
The kiss awakened the power of Juubei, but Muneakira must learn more about this secret to protect his country.
14. Seikon no Qwaser
When Tomo Yamanobe‘s father—the enigmatic former headmaster of Saint Mikhailov Academy, rumored to be a serial killer himself–disappeared, he left nothing behind but an icon.
Soon after his disappearance, the academy was beset with rumors about someone taking female students’ lives.
As Tomo and her sister Mafuyu Oribe were heading home after being tormented at school, Tomo trips over an injured silver-haired boy who abruptly vanishes.
Mafuyu looks for him and discovers that the church holding the icon is burning down.
As she tries to save the painting, the serial killer suddenly attacks her with a mysterious ability to control magnesium.
Appearing out of nowhere, the silver-haired boy who can control iron rescues Mafuyu.
Mafuyu soon learns that the boy, Sasha, is a qwaser – an individual capable of controlling elements through power obtained by breastfeeding.
Confused and distraught with this new knowledge, she tries to push it away.
Still, when he transfers to her class the next day, Mafuyu realizes their normal school life is threatened as other powerful beings may come close to them.
What will happen between Tomo and Mafuyus?

15. Heaven’s Lost Property
When Tomoki Sakurai was a child, he would often wake up in tears.
His childhood friend Sohara Mitsuki worried for him and sought the help of Eishirou Sugata–an eccentric sky maniac.
This man concluded that Tomoki’s dream is undoubtedly connected to what we know as “The New World.”
Scientists have been unable to understand this anomaly because they do not know how it works or why it exists.
However, one thing remains certain: It has something with its fragile subconscious state!
Eishirou, the newest New World Discovery Club member, is tasked with recruiting new members.
He sets up a time to meet and observe any mysteries in the sky they may find on suspicion that it has something to do with what he saw before.
One day Tomoki’s life changes when a strange girl falls from above, calling him master.
Sora no Otoshimono follows the daily activities of the New World Discovery Club as they begin to learn more about their new Angeloids who have arrived on Earth.

16. Hybrid x Heart Magias
Kizuna is a boy with an ability known as the HHG (Heart Hybrid Gear).
Still, it’s not strong enough to make any one person all that important.
But, then, his older sister calls him and tells him she enrolled in what seems like a prestigious school for students with abilities such as themselves.
Many of those students wear skimpy pilot outfits while fighting invaders from another world.
Kizuna himself lacks much competence with his skillset, but his sister has another plan.
Apparently, having romantic experiences with Kizuna will allow the girls to replenish their energy or power up.
We see a schoolboy caught in the whims of a bunch of girls with ambitions of becoming powerful.
17. The Testament of Sister New Devil
Basara Toujou runs into his new stepsister in the bathroom, not giving him a good first impression.
Basara’s father then introduces the two girls to them as siblings.
He has no choice but to accept Maria Naruse, a petite girl with silver hair that matches her sister Mio’s red locks.
But when these seemingly normal girls reveal themselves as demons Mio the former demon lord’s only daughter, and Maria, her trusted succubus servant – Basara is forced to reveal himself as a member of the hero clan.
The hero clan is sworn enemies of the demon.
However, having begun to care for his new sisters, Basara instead decides to protect them with his powers and forms a master-servant contract with Mio to keep watch over her.
Basara has to do the impossible, defending against demon clan attacks and protecting his new family members.
However, he is also hiding a dark secret that still haunts him.
18. Is this a Zombie?
Once a normal 16-year-old high school student, Ayumu Aikawa had his life brutally cut short when he died while investigating a suspicious house.
Soon after his death, he awakens next to an armored girl called Eucliwood.
He discovers she is a necromancer who has revived him as her zombie servant.
And Ayumu learns that this may not be such a bad thing!
Ayumu is now immortal, and he sets out to hunt for whoever took his life.
One day, while in the cemetery, Ayumu encounters a boisterous young girl with a chainsaw who seems determined to fight off bears no matter what!
When she kills one of them, she tries erasing all memories that would lead back to herself.
But she ends up absorbing him instead!
Stripped of her powers and knowing nothing about this encounter or even why it happened, Haruna gets ordered by Ayumu (who doesn’t remember anything either) into becoming an apprentice hunter.
This is so that they can go together as partners hunting strange creatures called Megalo, which roam through the human world terrorizing residents.
Is This a Zombie? follows the daily antics of a newly-turned human who’s now living as a zombie as he begins his new, ludicrous life where the supernatural becomes the norm.

19. Omamori Himari
Omamori Himari or OmaHima, known in English as “protective charm Himari,” tells the story of Yuuto Amakawa, a 16 years old orphan who lives a relaxing yet boring life.
Seven years before the story begins, his parents die in a car accident leaving him completely alone.
Ever since, his tsundere friend Rinko Kuzaki (who has a crush on him) and her family have been taking care of him.
The only thing left of his family is a gift from his grandmother: a mysterious amulet that erased part of his childhood memories.
Well, on his sixteenth birthday, he meets Himari Koihara.
Himari Koihara is a bakeneko (a demon cat in Japanese folklore) who saves him from a supernatural entity and starts living with him to protect him from other enemies.
It is later revealed that Yuuto comes from a family of demon slayers, and Himari has sworn an oath to protect him.
With comedy, supernatural entities, and fights, this one was one of the first anime I watched.
Fans of High School DxD will notice the parallels and will enjoy this anime quite a lot.
20. Jitsu wa Watashi wa
Jitsu wa Watashi wa, or My Monster Secret, is a weird case because the first time I watched it, I didn’t like it.
But the second time, it grew on me.
Asahi Kuromine is a boy that cannot keep a secret.
Because of that, his nickname is “leaky basket.”
Before the story’s beginning, he confesses his feelings to Nagisa Aizawa.
But she turns him down.
Now he has a crush on another girl, Youko Shiragami.
But everything goes down the drain when he learns she is a vampire.
And because of that, he has to keep that secret and protect her so her father does not take her out of school.
Everything goes from bad to worse when he learns that more mythical creatures attend school, and he must also keep those secrets.
This anime is so underrated, and very few people have watched it.
But I really think you will enjoy watching it.
It has a lot of comedy, weird situations, mythical creatures, and more.
It does not have the same level of mature content as High School DxD does, but it compensates with more funny moments.
21. Zero no Tsukaima
The Familiar of Zero is one of my favorite anime of all time.
I enjoyed it from the first episode to the last.
Plus, it’s a good entry anime and one of the only good “isekai” anime.
Saito Hiraga is a normal Japanese boy who was accidentally summoned to the fictional Halkeginia continent by Louise Francoise LeBlanc de la Valliere a narcissistic and tsundere mage.
Louise is nicknamed “Louise the Zero” because of her inability to use any kind of magic.
And summoning a normal human leaves her more humiliated than before.
Louise begins to treat him like a slave.
Meanwhile, Saito begins to adjust to his new life, starts meeting new people in this new world, and creates his own group love situation without realizing.
Saito and Issei are funny goofballs who will both fight for those they care about.
In fact, they are very similar.
This anime also has a lot of magic, plenty of supernatural characters, and great battles.
The Familiar of Zero has four great seasons.
So there’s a lot to enjoy with this one.
22. Negima! Magister Negi Magi
You know what they say: old but gold.
10-year-old Negi Springfield is a mage who completed seven years of magic studies.
To become a successful magician, he goes to Japan to be an English teacher at Mahora College.
What does English have to do with magic?
I’m not really sure.
Regardless, when he arrives at the school, he meets Asuna Kagurazaka, one of his students.
By the way, his magician status is a secret.
But later, Asuna discovers this.
They become partners after performing a pact that requires a kiss to face some supernatural enemies and more magicians.
This anime will show you that being a teacher is not an easy task to master.
This one contains magic, schools, supernatural entities, mature content, and comedy.
In short, it contains all the stuff we love in High School DxD.
Both anime deal with almost the same things, but Negima has less mature content than DxD.
Negima is a classic “must watch” anime.
It’s basically a combination of GTO, Rosario + Vampire, and Love Hina.
So if you haven’t watched it yet, go for it.
23. Tsugumomo
Tsukumogami in Japanese folklore are tools possessed by a deity or a spirit giving them a soul.
There are two types of tsukumogami: tsugumomo and amasogi.
The first one describes harmony while the other describes destruction.
Our protagonist, Kazuya Kagami possesses a tsugumomo without knowing; his mother’s obi.
And after he almost dies from an amasogi attack, his obi transforms into a girl named Kirihi.
She protects him and starts living with him to protect him from other amasogi attacks.
She also introduces Kazuya to the tsukumogami world and the deities that live around us.
Tsugumomo is a good anime that will entertain you.
Kazuya is your typical group love protagonist, and Kirihi is a great female protagonist.
This anime also features the protagonist’s childhood friends who love him, the school settings, the battles, the supernatural happenings, everything.
It looks like your average group love anime with fantasy.
But there is something about Tsugumomo that will make you watch it all day.
What is that exactly?
You will have to watch it to find out.
24. Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma
Mixing food competitions with comedy was one of the best things that could happen to anime.
Why would I say this?
Because this anime, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, is a masterpiece.
The story centers around Yukihira Soma, a teenager who aspires to become a chef in his father’s restaurant and, unsurprisingly, become a better chef than him.
To do this, he enrolls Soma in Totsuki Culinary Academy, the best culinary school in the world.
Here, Soma will have to battle other students in “food wars” to become the best chef in the world.
Soma also makes friends, rivals, love interests, and much more.
While not having any “normal” fights or supernatural elements, the comedy is here, a unique school setting is also present, and Soma’s goofball attitude without being a pervert will remind you of Issei.
So I think you will enjoy this anime a lot.
My only advice is, don’t watch this anime if you haven’t had dinner yet!
25. Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero
This is another underrated anime.
The story is set in a world where both young men and women are spirited away to another world with magic called Alayzard.
Those who survive and return are gifted with magic and other abilities.
An international company called Babel usually protects those people who return.
They also train them to use their power for good.
The story of Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero begins when one of these returnees called Akatsuki Osawa comes back to his world with a girl called Miu.
That girl is the daughter of the Demon Lord, whom Akatsuki killed in battle.
In Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, we have the hero, the titular “Rogue Hero” Akatsuki.
He is smart, strong, and a typical “Chad” protagonist as well as one of the best group love protagonists an anime can offer.
Miu is much like Rias Gremory, particularly because both come from demon families.
While the mature elements are there, they are not as cheeky as in High School DxD.
Regardless, with the battles, magic, and waifus, you will have a good time with this one.
26. Val x Love
What if, in this case, instead of the protagonist being acquainted with the demons, he helps Asgard female warriors to defend the earth from demons?
Val x Love is like that.
Odin sends 9 Valkyries to earth to defend it from demons with the help of the awkward Takuma Akutsu, a “normal” college student and this anime’s weird protagonist.
And what does he need to do?
Well, he has to become the Valkyries’ lover.
And no, I am not kidding.
He moves to an empty house with the 9 Valkyries, creating his own group love situation while trying to live a normal life when they are not fighting against demons.
You may not like Takuma at the beginning.
But I think you will like him more after watching a couple of episodes.
Every Valkyrie is different.
One can be serious, another one can be shy and cute, and another one could be a goofball.
In short, if you don’t like one Valkyrie, then you will probably find another Valkyrie you like.
With magic, fantasy, love, and a lot of mature content, this one is underrated.
So go and try with Val x Love.
27. Strike the Blood
I have already talked about Strike the Blood in a previous article.
And I am telling you how this anime can be one hell of a ride if you enjoy the shonen formula a lot.
It has weird attack names, a lot of waifus, and the protagonist saving everybody after the enemy destroys half the city.
Strike the Blood tells the story of Akatsuki Kojou who is secretly the world’s most powerful vampire.
He is the Fourth Progenitor, and knowing that, he tries to live a normal life.
But some organizations already know who he is.
One of them is the Lion King organization which sends a sword shaman called Yukina Himeragi to observe him while they try to live a “normal” life in Itogami Island, also known as “the demon district.”
With a lot of battles, magic, and comedy, this anime seems to have it all.
You will enjoy Strike the Blood if shonen is your favorite type of anime because it has everything typical in shonen.
This one has a dense but brave protagonist, his tsundere partner, and more than ten girls in love with him.
That is what I call a paradise.
28. Otome Youkai Zakuro
Known in English as “Maiden Spirit Zakuro,” this anime tells the story of an alternate Japan where human and spirits coexist during Westernization.
To maintain peace, the Ministry of Spirits is created where humans and spirits choose to work together.
They choose three humans: Ganryu Hanakiri, Riken Yoshinokazura, and Kei Agemaki, the male protagonist of this story.
Also, three spirits are chosen: Bonbori, Hozuki, and Zakuro, the female protagonist of this story, and the titular spirit maiden.
Problems arise when Zakuro tells everybody that she cannot stand humans who accept Jesuit practices, and Kei affirms he has an abnormal fear of spirits.
This could be the most underrated anime on this list because I have otaku friends, and none of them have watched this anime.
That is sad because this is a great anime.
This one doesn’t have much mature content.
Rather, it is more of a fantasy romance anime.
Also, I love the cute animation in this one.
The animation and other elements make it the perfect anime to watch with your otaku girlfriend or with your crush.
29. The Misfit of Demon King Academy
In this anime, the protagonist is the demon lord himself but reincarnated.
After more than 2000 years of war and genocide, Demon king Anos Voldigoad makes a deal with Kanon, the hero, sacrificing himself to bring peace to a broken world.
After 2000 years more, a now hybrid Anos reincarnates and finds that royal demons rule over hybrid demons in this new society.
Now, Anos decides to reclaim his throne.
But before that, he has to graduate from the Demon King Academy where he is considered a misfit and is treated poorly and disrespectfully by royal demon students.
This is an anime that broke the internet because of how broken and overpowered Anos is.
Also, The Misfit of Demon King Academy is an anime that you can watch in one day because every single episode will make you want to watch the next one until you finish the whole thing.
And get ready: the second season is coming next year!
With fantasy, demons, magic, and group love, this is a great anime like Highschool DxD.
30. 11eyes: Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shojo
Known in English as 11eyes: Sin, Damnation and the Atonement Girl, this is an anime based on the Japanese adult visual novel of the same name.
The story revolves around Kakeru Satsuki.
Satsuki lost his sister and since then, he has lived his life without a purpose.
But thanks to his childhood friend Yuka Minase, he returned to a normal life.
However, everything changes after one day at school when the moon turns black, the sky turns red, and those around Yuta and Kakeru disappear while monsters appear in the city.
The pair find four students trapped in the same dimension: Misuzu Kusakabe, Kukuri Tachibana, Takahisa Tajima, and Yukiko Hirohara.
Then, the six of them form a group to survive the “Red Night” and try to understand what is happening.
11eyes has one of the best (or worst, depending on your preferences) plot twists in anime media.
But don’t worry, I will not spoil it for you.
With horror, drama, romance, and magical fights (and a lot of comedy if you watch the OVA), 11eyes is a weird ride.
But it is an entertaining one for sure.
