Table of Contents (TL:DR)

Nowadays, many people talk about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator that they have.

This personality test has 16 possible outcomes, all of which have their unique strengths and weaknesses.

You can be Introverted or Extroverted, iNtuitive or Sensing, Thinking or Feeling, and Judging or Prospecting.

But just so you know, in the context of the personality test, these terms don’t necessarily mean the same thing as they do in common vernacular.

According to 16 personalities, A Mediator (INFP) is someone who possesses the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits. These rare personality types tend to be quiet, open-minded, and imaginative, applying a caring and creative approach to everything they do.

Although everybody knows how powerful he is, he doesn’t want to rely on his superpowers to accomplish his goals every time.

Now, Shikamaru is the Hokage’s assistant, a well-deserved job for him.

He is normally seen as a romantic figure.

20. Kenzo Tenma – Monster

This protagonist is from one of the best anime ever created and is also an INFP.

He deeply cares about the people around him and also, he believes that all lives are equal and nobody can influence another person to change their morals and way of thinking.

21. Miku Nakano – The Quintessential Quintuplets

The favorite sister, Miku is a shy, introverted, and reserved girl who usually thinks in a more pessimistic way about things around her.

She doesn’t like to talk about herself, is quite private, and can feel hurt easily.

After meeting Fuutarou, she starts becoming a more positive and outgoing person.

She is an INFP anime character, without a doubt.

22. Mitsuba Sousuke – Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun

Mitsuba has a more aggressive and less healthy INFP personality.

Because he is dead, he is rude and moody towards those in the land of the living.

He is also a very private individual who only thinks of himself.

But he also wants to connect with people in some cases.

That said, it makes it hard for him to be himself, so he tries to change his personality because of this.

23. Mitsuri Kanroji – Demon Slayer

Mitsuri is a friendlier and more harmonious INFP.

Slaying demons is the perfect work for her because this way, she can protect people everywhere.

24. Hitohito Tadano – Komi-san Can’t Communicate

But Tadano has this almost inhuman telepathic empathy to immediately know what is happening and what is wrong in the picture. His main tasks are maintaining Shoko happy, and everyone else calmed.

25. Tohru Honda – Fruits Basket

Tohru Honda is the type of person who would always put others first instead of herself.

She has elements of both Mediator and Defender personalities.

She will intervene on someone else’s behalf and help everyone in the process to get something like a happy ending.

Many characters from Fruits Basket are genuinely grateful with Tohru for helping them.

26. Tamaki Amajiki – My Hero Academia

My boy Tamaki has the best superhero name out there; look at me in the eyes and tell me that “Suneater” isn’t amazing. Tamaki is an extremely shy and introverted boy who gets embarrassed easily, but he is an amazing person; he is kind, gentle, compassionate, and an amazing friend. Just like Mirio said: “Tamaki shines even brighter than the sun”.

27. Aang – Avatar: The Last Airbender

Let’s stop saying that Avatar is not an anime because it is. Its protagonist Aang, the avatar, may be an extremely skilled fighter, an airbending master but the thing is that he prefers peace instead of fighting. He is always helping people, and he genuinely likes to help other and give them the opportunity to express themselves. He is a Mediator without a doubt.

28. Katarina Claes – My Next Life as a Villain

Katarina is a great and funny protagonist. Despite reincarnating as a villain character, she decides to turn the tables and become a “good” character.

Nicknamed “Bakarina,” she likes to ensure everyone in this new world inside a video game is happy and living a good life.

She is extremely dense and naïve but is a good girl who won’t let anyone suffer alone.

29. Azusa Aizawa – I’ve Been Killing slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level)

She is the protagonist of probably one of the best isekais I’ve ever watched.

It doesn’t have any evil demon lords or harems, no clichés.

It’s just a fun and a relaxing slice of life.

Azusa is a witch who wants to live a new relaxing life in this new world after reincarnating.

She is always there for her friends and will fly to the rescue.

She likes to negotiate instead of fight and is always there to end a feud.

30. Rimuru Tempest – That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Another isekai about slimes. Rimuru is like Barbie: he is everything; slime, politician, fighter, demon lord, everything. Rimuru is extremely powerful, but he only uses his powers when they are required. He instead prefers to negotiate to create a peaceful world where everybody can live without problems.

31. Legoshi – Beastars

Legoshi is an idealistic, introverted anime wolf looking for the best of the people around him almost all the time. When he is not feeling confident, he can be very shy when he’s not feeling confident and is prone to overthinking and don’t want to be a predatory animal; something that worries him very much.

32. Shinji Ikari – Neon Genesis Evangelion

Shinji has a very emphasized INFP personality. He is a teenager who is struggling to find his place in this world; we all can understand how it feels. He is compassionated, shy, very emotional and has a strong sense of justice. Despite sometimes falling into the desperation, he can show both a great strength and courage.

33. Gaara – Naruto

Gaara shows both the healthy and the unhealthy sides of the INFP personality type at the same time. He was raised to believe that the only thing he can do is killing people; making him a cold-blooded killer with no empathy at all. He then, thanks to Naruto, understood that he can’t keep living like that and became kinder, friendlier, and more human.

34. Fuutarou Uesugi – The Quintessential Quintuplets

Fuutarou deep down his serious and stoic personality, is a person who is always willing to put others first instead of himself. He is the type of person who is willing to do everything in order to keep the Nanako sisters happy. Fuutarou is a really empathic person despite not showing this trait at first sight. A great INFP.

35. Takemichi Hanagaki – Tokyo Revengers

Despite his rough and rebellious physical appearance, Takemichi is a gentle boy who doesn’t have the same delinquent style as Draken or Mikey; but he is a man on a mission. His task is to return to the past and make peace between his friends and the Tokyo gangs in order to save Hinata’s life. If that is not a INFP personality then I don’t know that it is.

36. Naoya Nifuji – Wotakoi

Naoya embodies the INFP personality. He is somebody who’s not going to sleep until everybody in the room is happy. Popular because of his gentle attitude, social skills, and looks; Naoya likes to cheer other people and make them feel understood. He is always there to help his friend Ko Sakuragi when is needed.

37. Hiyori Iki – Noragami

Hiyori is sometimes more protagonist than Yato himself, and that is because she is always there for almost everybody in the anime, especially for both Yato and Yukine. Hiyori is more than happy to help anyone; she will do everything until any discussion is resolved, and is an expert of knowing when someone will be upset.

38. Takanashi Rikka – Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions

A highly popular anime girl who popularized the term “Chunibyou”. Rikka created a new persona and a whole world in her mind in order to cope with her insecurities. She is an introverted, and friendly girl with strong values who likes to go on adventures with her friends. While most people call her crazy, she is just a girl with an INFP personality.

39. Eri – My Hero Academia

Eri is the catalyst of one of the best anime arcs of all times. She must be protected and thank God both Midoriya and Mirio saved her. 40. Rem – Death Note

Rem is far from the typical Shinigami, she is an INFP Shinigami. She is extremely loyal to Misa and is more than willing to sacrifice herself for her. This shows that Rem prefers Misa happiness than her own happiness. Despite liking her world than the human world, as long as she is with Misa; Ream is happy.

41. Yamaguchi Tadashi – Haikyu!

Haikyu is one of the best sports anime ever created, there are all kinds of characters and one of them is Yamaguchi; a INFP character with a shy personality and lack of aggressiveness. It was hard to tag him as a INFP because he is not one of the main characters, so he does not have a lot of screen time on every episode.

42. Kaneki Ken – Tokyo Ghoul

Kaneki Ken is a hell of an INFP character. At the beginning of the anime, he is presented as an INFP guy with an emo personality who lived in his own world. Despite the tragic beginning and all the torture he suffered, underneath his aggressiveness, he is still a kind person who tends to empathize with other people and help anyone in distress.

43. Gohan – Dragon Ball Z

From a weird perspective; Goku is disappointed because Gohan is an INFP, let’s be honest with that. Being an INFP makes you a terrible fighter unless you are fighting because something you care is on the line. Gohan is someone who doesn’t enjoy fighting; he only fights because there is something he has to protect. In his case: the world.

44. Juvia Lockser – Fairy Tail

In the beginning, Juvia’s personality was hard to define. Her introverted personality is there but the rest, well… Was hard to define. She is not the typical INFP character because she can get angry easily, but her abnormal obsession with Grey and her innate ability to create stories from out of nowhere brings a more INFP personality.

45. Yugi Mutou – Yu-Gi-Oh!

Let’s focus on Yugi on this one because Yami Yugi’s personality is too different from Yugi’s personality; Yami is an ENTJ while Yugi is an INFP, but not a typical INFP. While having a normal kid personality, he is still someone who is willing to help his friends and the people he cares. He shows the more positive side of an INFP than the negative side.

46. Sawada Tsunayoshi – Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Tsuna is the typical protagonist who is normally seen as a loser in school but later on he is showed as a great and strong person. Even though he doesn’t like the violent and aggressive tendences from the Mafia, he cares deeply about them but despite that, Tsuna still chooses his personal values than the Mafia’s values. He is really a down-to-earth person.

47. Alphonse Elric – Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one of the best anime ever created, is almost perfect. And having a character like Alphonse as one of the primary protagonists is great. While being introvert and idealist, he is not a shy person. He is more than willing to fight against any enemy possible in order to save the world.

48. Hinata Hyuga – Naruto

A girl everybody loves. Her shy and loyal personality is what made everybody fall in love with her. Hinata is a beautiful girl with a sweet and cautious personality, but she is not afraid to sacrifice everything for those she loves. She is everything but extrovert, and we love her because of that, she is the type of girl all men would be happy to marry.

49. Kou Mabuchi – Ao Haru Ride

Kou is one of the best shojo protagonists out there. He is funny, cheerful and kind, and doesn’t care about saying what is in his mind, but the hides those traits under a more serious and cold personality because of a dark period on his life. Despite that, he shows those INFP traits in various occasions. A great protagonist.

50. Atsushi Nakajima – Bungo Stray Dogs

A kind guy with a dark past. Atsushi is a weird but kind guy who has problem connecting with the people around him. Despite his weirdness, he is more than willing to help others in any problems they have because of his caring personality. He is also a good listener, and gives people the opportunity to express themselves and also gives them the benefit of the doubt.

51. Chihiro Ogino – Spirited Away

Some people say that Ghibli movies are not anime, and that is wrong, because they ARE anime. One of the greatest animated films ever; Spirited Away, has a INFP protagonist. Chirio is a girl who despite being in a different world and covered in fear, she goes through this entire adventure on intuition and with fear but she doesn’t stop. That’s why I say she is an INFP.

52. King – One Punch Man

The strongest man in the world is an INFP. King is presented to the public as one of the most powerful heroes in One Punch Man but in reality, he is just a simple human. King is a caring, friendly man but also a coward… Well, being a coward in the OPM’s world is totally understandable. He is also a very intelligent person and a God-tier gamer.

53. Koji Koda – My Hero Academia

Koji Koda is probably the most kind, shy, and gently boy in the series; even more than Deku. Koji is just a side character, but the moments you watch him on screen you can notice that he is a wholesome character. He is very introverted and very humble with his friends; also, he can talk with animals. Koji is awesome.

54. Junpei – Jujutsu Kaisen

A guy that didn’t deserve to die… Sorry for the spoiler. Junpei, despite being a side character, contributed a lot in the Jujutsu Kaisen main plot. Despite his humble and friendly personality, because of his tragic past and Mahito’s influence, he developed a more hateful and hopeless personality. He just doesn’t want to see others in pain or suffering.

55. Euphemia vi Britannia – Code Geass

Code Geass is the greatest anime ever made. Period. While being a princess with great power, she stayed true to her ideals. Despite all the horrors of war and the power she possesses, Euphemia remained a very kind and humble girl all the time she was alive, something very admirable, to be honest.

She is a strong princess with an INFP personality.

56. Mitsuha Miyamizu – Your Name

Your Name is an extremely beautiful movie that deserves all the acclaim it has. And Mitsuha from this movie is a cute girl with an INFP personality. Rinko is one of the most wholesome anime girls in history. She is the type of girlfriend you must protect at all costs. She is extremely sweet, kind, girly, friendly, and wholesome. She always tries to make Takeo happy every time they see each other, and also tries to create a comfortable space for Suna when he is with them; that says that she likes to make everybody happy.

58. Tony Tony Chopper – One Piece

Everybody knows Chopper. This little guy is one of the most beloved characters from the One Piece world and is mainly because his great personality. He is always there for those who need help and is more than willing to help them in one way or another. Chopper is also known because his caring nature towards the Straw Hat Pirates, his crew.

59. Neji Hyuga – Naruto

Neji Hyuga is a great example of an INFP character. You can notice this with just watching two episodes of Naruto. Neji likes to be alone or just with his team. Also, he values his group and the other Konoha ninjas, and he was willing to sacrifice himself in order to save both Naruto and Hinata from the Ten-Tails’ attack. His legacy will live forever.

60. Armin Arlert – Attack on Titan

The last one on the list. Being an INFP is hard… Now, being an INFP in Attack on Titan’s world is harder. Armin is a character who manages to stand true to his principles and never loses his ideals, even after becoming the Colossal Titan. He is always thinking of ideas on how to solve situations where everything will be fine for everybody, but in a world like that, it is borderline impossible.
