Table of Contents (TL:DR)

Code Geass is one of the most loved and favoured titles in anime history, with its grand tier of excitement throughout. One might say Code Geass is a beacon for what other animes should be striving to achieve, as it has all these elements on an exceptional level while climbing to the top rank.

The Story Of Code Geass:

The Holy Empire of Brittania is a country with the most advanced military in all existence, and it has always been at war. Their goal was to conquer every other place on Earth for their own territory and power. After winning Japan, they took away its freedom by renaming it Area 11–a land where its citizens are treated as lower than low within their homeland! This sad story can’t go on any longer; the people want nothing more but to regain what’s theirs: Freedom!

Lelouch Lamperouge, a Britannian student with an unfortunate knack for finding himself caught in a cross-fire between Britannia and rebel forces, finds his luck change when he encounters C.C., who grants him Geass; The power of Kings! In awe at what this newfound ability could do, Lelouch embarks on a perilous journey to get revenge once and for all as Zero leading a merciless onslaught against Britania.

I know what you’re thinking. You want more anime that is just as great and popular, right? Well, here are some recommendations for those looking to have a similar experience with the likes of Code Geass.

22. Aldnoah.Zero

Aldnoah.Zero is a show that understands the cost of war as much as Code Geass does and presents a world where casualties are already in the millions, and significant losses have been faced by both sides- leaving characters with an impossible decision to make; we need luck on our side, or this will be over quickly. I think what makes Aldnoah so compelling, even though it’s only 12 episodes long (compared to season 1 of Code Geass, which was 26 episodes), is how willing they were to give up their mecha technology early on for more tactical methods like hacking enemy headquarters remotely through computer viruses planted within them beforehand- these moves not only leave heroes at risk but also prove just how smart its villain really can be!

The Gates had been termed as spaces in which the very laws of physics are ignored, and with them came Contractors. These people – those who were willing to trade their humanity for supernatural abilities- emerged from around the nether region’s Gate after they appeared one day. Section 4 Chief Misaki Kirihara finds herself at odds with a notorious Contractor codenamed Hei that is called “Black Reaper” underground. When she becomes aware of his nefarious plots against her world, it leads into an intense battle between two worlds: ours and theirs.”
