The self-named “Claymore” organization, Clare, is a member of the ‘alpha’ class Hunters, who are trained to fight these monsters with magic-enhanced weapons called “Claymores”. She is also one of seven female members. The stories center on her as she joins forces with her fellow Claymore members and their allies from other countries to stop the youma from taking over the world.

Knights Of Sidonia

Knights Of Sidonia was adapted by Netflix into a live-action series in 2015. It’s set in the year 3394, where the earth has been ravaged by an alien race called Gauna. As such, most of humanity has taken refuge on the massive ship Sidonia, which is too large to be properly defended against the Gauna without constant maintenance. One day, a survey team is attacked and destroyed while investigating a planet that may have held life at one time. It turns out the planet has been invaded upon by an alien race called “Gauna”. During this invasion, Sidonia is badly damaged and destroyed, and the rest of humanity takes refuge on this massive ship. However, it’s not long before the Gauna attack again and draws Sidonia into a nearby universe. Now humanity must rebuild the ship and find a way to destroy the Gauna once and for all.

Both Knights Of Sidonia and Attack on Titan have two things in common: the plot and the pacing. Both start off with a scene where the world’s peace is broken into pieces, and the characters must do everything they can to get it back. In a universe where Titans are roaming the earth, humans live behind three walls for protection. Outside the walls, Titans reign, destroying everything in their path. The story follows Ken Kaneki, a young man who survives an encounter with his date, Rize Kamishiro, which leaves him hospitalized and turns him into a half-ghoul. As his body undergoes the transformation into a half-ghoul, he struggles to adapt to society while searching for a way to cure this affliction. The series was first inspired when Sui Ishida tried to develop a new idea for a karate magazine he was working on at the time.

He wanted to create an original character that did not appear western and would not “look strange” in a Japanese setting. After deciding on having the main character be male, Ishida looked at several films, anime, and manga for inspiration. He considered giving the character heightened senses and super-human abilities. Eventually, He went with cannibalism as one of his main characteristics.

Black Bullet is a sci-fi anime about people with special powers fighting monsters called Gastrea. It’s being compared to the popular anime Attack on Titan for having a similar plot. It is probably the closest anime you’ll find on this list. If you like Attack on Titan, you’ll certainly like Black Bullet, which is also directed by Tetsurō Araki (high school of the no longer living, note). It has some similarities, such as humans with special powers fighting creatures to survive. Other similarities include the overall feel of the show, the characters, and the setting.

The Promised Neverland

The Promised Neverland is a horror story set in the future where children are used as food for demons. The plot follows three orphans named Emma, Norman, and Ray as they live at Grace Field House. They are told that they like, love, and care for each other as family. Despite being raised in a world controlled by demons, the three kids are positive and hopeful. One day, they discover a shocking truth about the world they live in.

The manga series was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2016. The chapters are collected in tankobon format, where seven volumes have been released so far. The Promised Neverland anime started on January 5, 2019, as part of the Winter 2019 Anime season. Seraph Of The End: Vampire Reign

Seraph of the End is a Japanese dark fantasy shonen manga series written by Takaya Kagami and illustrated by Yamato Yamamoto with Daisuke Furuya’s storyboards. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since 2012, with twenty-six collected volumes released as of December 2017. The story centers on Yūichirō Hyakuya, a human boy taken in by the vampire Mikaela to participate in the Seraph of the End project.

The project seeks to end the lives of all vampires to prevent the destruction of mankind. The series has been collected into twenty-six tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Wit Studio aired twelve episodes between April 4 and June 20, 2015. A second season, Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign, also produced by Wit Studio and directed by Daisuke Tokudo, aired twelve episodes between October 3 and December 20, 2016.

In the anime world, there are few series as famous as Attack on Titan. Since its debut in 2013, it has become one of the most talked-about anime series globally. Another anime that debuted in the same year was Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign. While it hasn’t enjoyed the same level of international fame, it too is a fantastically dark adventure that deserves to be enjoyed by anyone who is a fan of Attack on Titan.

These two anime have a lot in common. The characters of Seraph Of The End Vampire Reign are mostly teenagers trying to survive in a world that is coming to an end. Most of the Seraph Of The End Vampire Reign characters are orphans who were saved by their guardians. They were saved by them and have been trained to fight the vampires.

 Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is a Japanese TV series currently airing on April 8, 2016. The story takes place in Japon in a fictional world with steampunk elements and is set during the early 20th century. The show follows Ikoma, a rivet-head—one who hunts Kabane that devour human flesh and infects people with their poison.

The Kabane are an enemy that devours human flesh and spreads their disease of poison, making humans highly vulnerable to it. If they do not lose one’s life of the poison, they will turn into Kabane with each passing day their body remains alive.

Ikoma is one of the few Kabane exterminators in Japan, using a steam-powered robot known as a Kabaneri that shoots ammunition made from iron that pursues and destroys Kabane. He fights against the Kabane to protect people.

How it’s similar to Attack On Titan

Suppose you’ve been watching the Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. In that case, you’ll get a kick out of seeing the same “humanity on the brink of extinction” theme plays out in two very different ways. The intensity of the Kabaneri action scenes is unlike anything you’ll ever see in AoT. Still, both shows have characters that must deal with the consequences of surviving a society-destroying apocalypse.

Both are dark, well-reviewed action series with a similar premise involving humanity under siege by terrifying, unnatural creatures.
