Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!)

Almost everyone has had a moment in their lives where they felt special, apart from the bulk of ordinary folks. They may even believe they possess mysterious powers or are descended from a mythical land. In Japanese, it is called “chuunibyou” and causes many of the most embarrassing situations in a person’s life.

Yuuta Togashi still bears the wounds of his chuunibyou. He is so ashamed of having posed as the “Dark Flame Master” in middle school that he decides to attend a high school where no one would know him. He longs to live a normal high school life, his dark past behind him.

Unfortunately, Rikka Takanashi, Yuuta’s new classmate, and self-proclaimed “Wicked Eye” vessel, haven’t. His idea of an average, chuunibyou-free life crumbles when this crazy young girl comes into his life. The old fantasies are far from gone in this amusing and uplifting story of a child who just wants to forget his unpleasant recollections.

What makes it similar is not the romance and fake girlfriend premise, but the way Yuuta and Raku desperately want to distance themselves from the past only to be pulled in and stay involved because of a girl.

 

The Quintessential Quintuplets

He promises to always be there for her, to help her farm rare drops in Monster Hunter. Narumi quickly accepts the suggestion. So the two geeky office workers begin their adorable awkward romance.

To LOVE-Ru

Rito Yuuki, 16, hasn’t confessed his feelings for Haruna Sairenji, a classmate he’s admired since junior high. Sadly, one night, a mysterious girl crashes straight on top of a bathing Rito.

Rito learns that the girl, Lala Satalin Deviluke, is the crown princess of an alien empire who has fled her country. Despite being the heiress to the galaxy’s most powerful empire, Lala is eager to marry the unassuming Rito to avoid an unwelcome political marriage.

Oresuki: Are You Really The Only One Who Loves Me?

“Jouro” Kisaragi, a second-year high school student, has two dates in one weekend: Saturday with student council president Sakura “Cosmos” Akino, and Sunday with childhood friend Aoi “Himawari” Hinata. Sumomomo Momomo: Chijou Saikyou no Yome

Koushi Inuzuka is a bright high school student pursuing a career as a public prosecutor. Unfortunately for our hero, he was born into a martial arts household whose leader (his father) speaks only one language: aggression. When Koushi was a newborn, his father negotiated a deal with his strongest adversary to marry Koushi to the daughter of his opponent-turned-friend. The merger of the two bloodlines is meant to produce Earth’s most powerful martial arts clan.

Tome skip: Koushi is in high school, blissfully unaware of the marriage arranged for him at birth. Momoko Kuzuryuu, sugar bomb, airhead, loli martial arts artist, and Koushi’s self-proclaimed bride, enters the picture. Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun (Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun)

Shungo Ninomiya is a typical high school student who lives with his elder sister Ryoko while she isn’t away working as a mercenary. But Shungo’s life changes when a gorgeous girl named Mayu Tsukimura arrives in a military-grade helicopter. Ryoko sent this girl and her older brother Mikihiro to live with the Ninomiyas.
