Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They? is basically No Game No Life with a longer title. Teenagers with incredible psychic abilities but have no opportunity to go all out. Given a chance to make a new home in a fantasy world that will fully utilize their talents. They join a group with some pretty strict rules and ultimately fight to restore glory to their disgraced new home. This is exactly like what happens in No Game No Life. Dog Days is a story of alternate Earth inhabited by beings who look like humans with animal features. Princess Millhiore’s people, the Republic of Biscotti, are under attack by forces from Galette Leo Knights. To save her citizens and way of life, she calls upon a champion that can wield power from another world for help- which turns out to be Cinque Izumi, who was summoned from Earth as just your average junior high student.

When Biscotti asks for help, Cinque agrees to retrieve the Palladion and prepare themself for battle. When wars are fought in Flonyard, there is no death or injury – they’re more like sports competitions with each Kingdom trying to raise money by winning. And so it was that Cinque became successful as Biscotti’s champion – but he learns that summoned champions cannot be returned home to their world! The Kingdom scientists will try hard to find a way back, but until then, our Hero must serve Princess Millhiore by continuing his role as the champion.

The stories in No Game, Dog Days, and Problem Children can all be described as claiming that one or more persons are mysteriously transported to another world where gameplay resolves almost all issues. All three anime protagonists have a knack for winning any games they enter with their unorthodox yet brilliant ways of playing the game. However, nearly no one in the new world can cope with how these unpredictable players get everything done so quickly while remaining victorious at every turn!

Shiroe must learn to live in this new world, leading others and negotiating with the NPC “natives” to bring stability to the virtual city of Akihabara. He is joined by his unfortunate friend Naotsugu who logs into a game for the first time since it was released years ago only to find himself trapped within an alternate reality he can’t escape from, as well as Akatsuki-a petite but fierce assassin that labels Shiroe her master; their journey explores how gaming transforms us on both physical and mental levels while navigating through politics and fighting off monsters alongside them.

Though Log Horizon features animation and art style far more down to Earth than No Game No Life, it shares many deeply similar plot developments.

14. Btooom!

btooom best anime like sword art online

Ryouta Sakamoto is unemployed and lives with his mother. Still, he’s not like most people: Ryota is Japan’s top player of the popular online video game Btooom! But what surprised him further was to find out that someone has decided to recreate his favorite game – only now will it be life or death stakes for everyone involved.

Ryouta is considering his options when he realizes that the games have been rigged. Suddenly, Ryouta’s life has changed drastically, and now people are trying to kill him for them to get home as well. Now armed with bombs known as “BIM,” Ryota teams up with Himiko, who helps guide Ryuta through this dangerous game while also coming closer and closer towards discovering how these events came about.

Btooom! and No Game No Life share the theme of gamers who dedicate almost every waking moment to their chosen hobby. They are generally considered to be failures by society. The only difference is in Btooom!, the other world is an island where its inhabitants must fight to the death in a real-world version of the game – it offers a far grittier, darker take on No Game No Life’s lighthearted premise.

12. The World God Only Knows

the world god only knows 19 anime like no game no life you need to watch today

Keima Katsuragi, the God of Conquest, conquered any girl’s heart in dating sim games. However, in reality, he opts for gaming over real life because his unhealthy obsession with galge games, which are Japanese video games centered on interactions with attractive girls, has him living within a two-dimensional world instead.

When Keima arrogantly accepts an anonymous offer to prove his supremacy at dating sim games, he is misled into aiding a naïve demon from hell named Elucia “Elsie” de Lute Ima with her mission: retrieving runaway evil spirits who have escaped from hell and scattered themselves throughout the human world. To capture these demons, Keima must learn how girls think and conquer what he hates most – the unpredictable hearts of three-dimensional females! Thus, Keima’s new “God of Conquest” title is put to the ultimate test as he becomes shackled with a deadly collar and forced into navigating through (or conquering) the hearts of countless girls.

The World God Only Knows kind of like No Game No Life in reverse. Unlike Sora and Shiro, Keima uses his gaming skills to try and win over real-world girls – however, he still applies those techniques to the game.

11. Darwin’s Game

darwin's game 19 anime like no game no life you need to watch today

It bites him on the neck and knocks him unconscious with no sign of any bite marks left behind whatsoever! He wakes up in the infirmary without anything happening to show for it, so he just assumes this was all some crazy hallucination.

Kaname’s first mistake is curiosity and opening the app. As it looks like any other battle game, he breathes a sigh of relief, but then his in-game opponent appears right before him with their knife drawn out! As he runs for his life, Kaname realizes that Darwin‘s Game is not an ordinary game, but rather, it’s a brutal fight for survival.

The anime series, No Game No Life and Darwin’s game are both about high risks taken in a game. They have different tones, though, with the former being lighter than the latter. Both of these shows take place during games that involve life or death stakes which make for an engaging watch from start to finish!

Moriko Morioka is 30 years old and out of a job, but she’s never been happier. She has spent over 11 years in the same company doing what felt like endless amounts of overtime work with little to show for it, which left her feeling complacent. In her first moments of exploration in this mysterious new world, she meets Lily–a kind and adorable healer.

Unbeknownst to Moriko, Yuuta Sakurai, a timid 28-year-old corporate worker, has also logged onto Fruits de Mer. Coincidentally bumping into each other at the convenience store one night, they write off their meeting as no more than just another awkward encounter with a stranger—however, fate has more in store for them than they think.

Like Sora and Shiro, Morioka Moriko just can’t handle life in the real world. So rather than continue to work her corporate job, she decides to quit and play MMOs full time. But, unfortunately, she finds that Lily is actually a guy – someone who knows her in real life.

This amazing anime features a brilliant boy who adores his little sister and is willing to go to great lengths to protect her, including taking over the government. While Sora and Shiro have more of an equal partnership, their bond is remarkably similar with Lelouch and Nunnally. While Sora’s rise to power isn’t as complicated, both harness their own form of strategic brilliance in achieving goals.

4. The Irregular at Magic High School

the irregular at magic high school 19 anime like no game no life you need to watch today

In the twenty-first century, magic has become a systematized technology and is taught as such. For example, in First High School, where magicians are trained to harness their powers to protect themselves from any possible threats of danger that may exist, students have been segregated into two groups based on entrance exam scores: “Blooms,” those who receive high marks on their exams get placed in the prestigious first course while “Weeds” end up being stuck with second-course lectures.

The Shiba siblings enroll in the world’s most prestigious magical school and find themselves separated by their different magical abilities. Miyuki is a talented student with an affinity for magic who excels at exams; Tatsuya has always been better suited to learning through combat than books, often using unorthodox techniques that don’t follow tradition but are surprisingly effective nonetheless. Join them as they become immersed in friendships built on trust—and budding romances cut short due to conflicts of interests–in this coming-of-age story filled with humor, action, and impressive feats!

The Irregular at Magic High School may not seem similar to No Game No Life plot-wise. Still, they share some important elements: a brilliant male protagonist who hardly has any competition except his sister. If you loved Sora and Shiro’s powerful sibling bond, but would rather they lay waste to their opponents at a competitive magical high school instead of in the world of Disboard, The Irregular at Magic High School might be your new favorite show.

3. Kakegurui

Hyakkaou Private Academy is a school that offers more than just education. The academy prepares its pupils for the real world by providing them with knowledge of how to deal and manipulate money and learn about other languages. At night, Hyakkaou transforms into a gambling den where those who come out on top in games stand at the top of this prestigious private institution!

Yumeko Jabami, a seemingly naive and beautiful transfer student, is ready to try her hand at Hyakkaou’s special curriculum. Unlike the rest of the students who take their education seriously to become successful adults, she plays just for fun and not because winning means anything more than bragging rights on campus. Her borderline insane way of gambling might bring too many new cards into play, so be careful what you’re dealing with!

Kakegurui and No Game No Life are both popular anime series with high-stakes strategic battles. However, Kakegurui is for those who prefer the more mature themes. At the same time, No Game no Life may be better suited to younger viewers due to its cutesy fan service scenes.

1. Maoyu: Archenemy & Hero

maoyu archenemy hero 19 anime like no game no life you need to watch today

Fifteen years have passed since the war between humans and demons began. Dissatisfied with their slow advance into the Demon Realm, the Hero abandons his companions to quickly forge ahead towards the Queen’s castle. However, upon arrival at her royal abode, he makes a startling discovery: not only is she an unparalleled beauty, but she also seeks out help from him! Confused by this unexpected turn of events- after all, was it easy for them to know what would happen? -the Hero refuses to ally himself with his enemy claiming that these wars had torn apart many villages in need of rebuilding; instead opting for peace talks in hopes that both sides can live harmoniously side by side.

The Demon Queen rebuts that the war has united humanity and brought them wealth and prosperity, providing evidence to support her claims. Furthermore, she explains that if the war were to end, then supplies sent by central nations in aid for Southern Nations would cease giving way to hundreds of thousands starving; however, thanks be given as she offers a solution with hope not only on Southern Nation’s side but on everyone else too- all you need is help from our Hero!

Finally convinced, the Hero agrees to join his now former enemy in her quest. Vowing to stay together through sickness and health, they set off for the human world.

Both of these anime are about rebuilding whole societies. While Maoyu: Archenemy & Hero focuses more on the individual aspect of improving a country, while No Game No Life focuses more on the ways to unite more than one.
